12th International Plant Protection Symposium at University of Debrecen, 12th IPPS (= 30. Tiszántúli Növényvédelmi Fórum, 30. TNF)

Conference call

The Foundation for Improvements on Education of Plant Protection (Debrecen), in cooperation with the Institute of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences and Environmental Management, University of Debrecen (Debrecen, Hungary), and the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, Faculty of Technical and Human Sciences, Department of Horticulture, (Târgu-Mureş – Corunca, Romania), will organize the 30th Trans-Tisza Plant Protection Conference on October 15-16, 2025, which is also the 12th International Plant Protection Symposium at the University of Debrecen.

The location of the conference this year will not be Debrecen; unusually, we will travel to Transylvania, to Târgu Mureș, together with the participants, and the event will be held at the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, Faculty of Technical and Human Sciences, Department of Horticulture (Târgu-Mureş – Corunca, Romania).

The two university faculties: the University of Debrecen, Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences and Environmental Management (Debrecen, Hungary), and the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, Faculty of Technical and Human Sciences (Târgu-Mureş – Corunca, Romania) have maintained an excellent cooperation in the field of agricultural education and research for a long time. The Institute of Plant Protection in Debrecen and the Department of Horticultural Engineering in Târgu-Mureş – Corunca are particularly involved in this cooperation. As part of this cooperation and as a further strengthening of it, the organizers decided to hold this year's jubilee (30th) Trans-Tisza Plant Protection Forum in the heart of Transylvania, in Târgu-Mureş – Corunca, symbolizing the importance of plant protection without borders, the close cooperation between the two universities, the unity of Hungarian people, colleagues, university lecturers, researchers anywhere in the world.
