The theme of the conference: Innovative conservation with animals: grazing, regenerative agriculture and rewilding

The Biodiversity, Water Management and Climate Change Competence Centre, the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences and Environmental Management and the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Debrecen, the Institute of Aquatic Ecology of the HUN-REN Centre for Ecological Research (LIFEforBUGSandBIRDS project) and Hortobágy National Park Directorate cordially invites you to the II. Debrecen Biodiversity Conference.

The aim of the conference is to provide an overview of the status and potential, results and knowledge, and future research directions in conservation management and ecosystem restoration with animals. The invited speakers are conservationists, farmers and researchers who have successfully applied these approaches in large-scale projects that can serve as examples for other initiatives. Invited plenary speakers will present in English, while symposium presentations and round table discussions will be held in Hungarian.

Only registered participants can attend the conference, so please register by March 7! Therefore, we ask all willing to participate to register by 7 March! The Hortobágy National Park can also provide accommodation and breakfast for a limited number of participants in the Swallow House (15.400 HUF + tourist tax/night).
