Mátrafüred is a village located near Gyöngyös in Heves county, Hungary, in the southern part of the Mátra mountain range. The surroundings of Mátrafüred offer the perfect opportunity for getting away from the concrete jungle to recharge in the nature. Academic Hotel Mátrafüred offers a unique opportunity for relaxation and excursions in addition to the professional programs. If you want to do something other than hiking, there are plenty of attractions to visit like the Kozmáry Lookout, the Palóc Ethnographic Private Collection or the the Muzsla-peak.

The Hotel provides accommodation in rooms for 1-3 people, which also includes meals. The prices for the accommodation and the meal are shown separately as follows:

Breakfast is included in the room prices, lunch and dinner cost about 4000-4800 HUF each.
Every day, breakfast is served from 8:00-9:30, lunch is from 12:30-14:00, and dinner from 17:30-18:30. There is a snack bar in the building, being open from 7 h to 19 h.
The invoices are made per room, so those living in the same room will have a joint payment option.

- By car from the neighbouring countries: there is highway almost to the place. See the maps.
- Ilmenau-Mátrafüred approx. 11 hours
- Ljubjana-Mátrafüred approx. 6 hours
- Cluj (Kolozsvár)-Mátrafüred approx. 6 hours
- By flight: There are direct flights to Budapest from most of the countries.
- The bus 200E runs from the airport to Budapest city.
- From Budapest there are long distance buses to Mátrafüred. It is a bit complicated, but we will provide descriptions of the details in case of need. It takes about 1.5 hours.
