Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport: https://www.bud.hu/en

Direct trains from Budapest to Debrecen (with a station close to the airport) depart every hour and take about two and a half hours. You can buy a ticket online or at a service counter or ticket machine at the station. Please be aware that for InterCity trains you also need to buy seat reservations along with your tickets.

Upon arrival at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport, you can take the bus number 200E until Ferihegy, where you can easily switch to train to Debrecen.

If your plane arrives at Debrecen Airport, you can take the bus named Airport 1-2, which has a stop called Nagyállomás (Railway Station). From the railway station in Debrecen, tram number 1 takes you directly to the conference venue. You can purchase tickets near the railway station or from the driver onboard. You can also purchase the tickets in the Simple App (for Debrecen), and you can scan the QR codes on the side of the buses and trams as you’re boarding. For Budapest, you can also use the Simple App or the Budapest Go app.

If you are planning to look around in town, you might want to consider purchasing a day-ticket, a 3-day ticket or a block of tickets. Please note that if you are purchasing a block of tickets, you must not remove any of the tickets from the block, or you can be fined. Information on ticket prices can be found here.
