International Conference on Applications of Virtual Reality in Performing Arts

The International Conference on Applications of Virtual Reality in Performing Arts will be held between 18 and 20 August 2022 in Ohrid, North Macedonia.

The conference reflects on the rapidly changing output requirements in higher education. An operational model and curriculum that blend classroom teaching with technology in the appropriate mix is a key to the higher education strategy. The project 'dance4you', launched in 2017, offers effective teaching models for higher education in the performing arts. The project has four strands: the use of virtual spaces, the use of attention-focusing didactic models, the use of a coaching approach, the use of e-learning and VR-learning. In the 2022/2023 academic year the BalletWhere consortium will implement and test the theatre and ballet history space developed in the virtual reality system MaxWhere, in dance theoretical and practical education. MaxWhere can be used in several segments of higher education. The theme of the international conference is the implementation of all forms of virtual reality and the system MaxWhere in performing arts education, as well as the usability in higher education in general. The Conference will welcome academic presentations on information science and arts education sciences.
